This quote was spinning in our minds during the Volos show.

We cannot find the right words to describe the awesomeness we all felt.

A super duper weekend is approaching.

We have 2 shows coming up on Fri / Sat.

To start with, we are playing a benefit show in Polytechnic University (Exarheia, downtown Athens) on Friday 24th, along with Lunatix, Jagernaut, Arxi Tou Telous and Kratarammeno Stoma.

Some hours after the end of this show, we will be on the road again, heading to Volos.

It's gonna be our 4th show in Volos till now, but this time it's more special since it's the farewell show of Drossos and the welcome on board show for Nikos, who's gonna take the bassist duties from now on, as you already know. Moreover, this concert coincides with the carnival, and everyone should be dressed appropriately. Can't wait.

In other news, we are about to finish the guitar recordings and start recording the vocals next week. We know that it took us way too long to record this album, but we are sure you'll love the final result. Besides that, we are working on some new shows for the spring / summer period. More info soon.

We welcome Nick as the new bassist player of MT.

Nick is also known for his participation in Eternal Hated and Take The Chance.

Since he's only 21 years old, he'll be the new blood in MT.

Being a vegan / straight edge, he's also involved in Ferae Naturae blog & distro.

We are super psyched to have Nick in MT. Period.

On the other hand, we would love to sincerely thank Drossos for being a dedicated MT member for almost a year now.
We had lots of fun, travelled thousands of miles and recorded our first full length with him, as well, so we definitely owe him a lot.

Support his other band, Bandage, they rule.

His last show (and respectively Nick's first one) with MT will take place in Volos on 25th Feb.

In other news, we are about to finish recording guitars this week.

Just waiting for Jack to come back from DE's greek tour.

Concert wise, we are booking some new dates in Greece plus working on our euro tour.

Concerning the recent riots in Greece we had to declare that without the abolishment of any kind of authority, we'll never be free. The system has obviously failed. It's our chance to take our lives in our hands.

The previous weekend was one of our best till now.

We had 2 amazing shows in Athens & Ioannina.

Concerning the Athens show we'd love to thank the 77-82 team, Censored Sound

and all of you that packed Roi Mat. It was amazing.

On the other hand, Ioannina was definitely our most energetic show in the countryside.

We tied our shoelaces and danced hard.

Despite the bad sound, you / we gave it all.

We won't forget this.

February will be a hot month.

We have 4 shows confirmed and it's more than possible to add a 5th one, as well.

We celebrate Censored Sound's 10 year anniversary at Roi Mat on Friday 3rd, and we travel to Ioannina for a show organized by Ya Basta squat the day after.

Being a positive hardcore band, we couldn't resist to accept the invitation to play in this year's Positively Positive Hardcore / Punk Fest.

We are happy to announce that we are gonna share the stage with awesome bands like Antillectual (NL), Whales' Island (IT), Eternal Hated and Vivaldi Heroes.

This is the 5th edition of Positively Positive and as the previous years the fest will take place in downtown Athens, AN Club.
The date is Saturday 17th December 2011.

Silent but not stagnate.

Actually, we are preparing our recording sessions; mid - december we enter the studio.

Our first full length will be out in early spring 2012.

It seems that the release of the record will coincide with our first european tour.

Fingers crossed.

Till then we have already 3 shows booked.

On 26th November we play in Athens along with UK punk legends English Dogs and a bunch of other cool punk rock bands. On 10th December we travel to Kavala sharing the van with our dear friends Bandage. The 3rd show will take place on 7th January, taking part at No Music / No Holidays fest #3 in Larissa. No other shows will be added till January, since we have to concentrate on the recordings.

Reality is harsh and you should all have understood this. This thing they call 'crisis' is a big bubble, created by the system itself, ready to explode. Times are crucial and we have to keep focused on sustaining our values. Solidarity is our only way out.

Positive Energy Over Berlin session #3_29.10

Woke up after a 5 hr sleep is not the greatest thing in the world, but keeping the PMA is undoubtedly the most important thing in the world...!

So, we split in 3 parts. Drossos went downtown for a huge walk and Fotis & Eliza visited a big vegan super market, while me & Markos headed to Coretex Records in Kreuzberg (Manolis was sleeping of course).

After an hour of hanging around and staring at the huge record piles, we bought a couple of hardcore related books from the store and headed to Alexanderplatz in order to meet the rest of the crew. While waiting for the others we even watched a Syrian demo that was taking place in the area. International solidarity, I guess.

When we reunited with MT family, we decided to go to the Yellow Sunshine vegetarian / vegan restaurant for lunch. (Not to forget to mention that this weekend was ultra-veg(etari)an; tons of awesome food, drinks and products for the veg(etari)ans to enjoy). Markos & Manolis (who met us afterwards) tasted some delicious (I can assume) burgers, though.

Lunch was over, and after some market visits, we entered a nice cafeteria to get some hot coffee / tea. The name of that brand new cafe was the german word for sin, as far as I remember. Make sure to visit this when you are around Kreuzberg.

It was already 19.00 so we had to go back to Manolis' house, get some rest and head to Koepi to trash the place up.

2 german girls, friends of Manolis, joined us there, as well. We arrived in Koepi around 20.30-21.00 and there were already a lot of people hanging around. Actually, there was a vegan gathering in the main building incl. vegan pizzas, the screening of an animal rights movie and a big table with brochures and pamphlets.

The first time I entered this building was 6 years ago, when my ex-band played in Koepi, so it was more than cool to realize that 6 years after and all this shit still makes me happy... Sorry for this personal comment, hehe.

Tonight's show featured Black Mammoth XTC and Sick Eater, both from Berlin, plus Deer In The Headlights & Dispro, the bands we shared the stage with in Scharni, as well.

Deer In The Headlights played first, a couple of minutes after 23.00. They played an ok show but due to some technical problems and their singer being in pain, they didn't manage to give their 100%. Nevertheless, this band has the potential to become well-known, trust me. Dispro were next, delivering their screamo influenced hardcore / punk; Doom's 'Police Bastard' cover was not included in their set this time, though.

We got on stage around 00.30 and for the next 40' we played our set and had fun. I can assure you that we definitely enjoyed that show; I dare to say that we played better than Scharni, even though we had to cope with some technical difficulties. Pretty psyched to see Koma F packed, as well. Our greek friends were there once more.

Sick Eater were next, playing sludge or something like this, totally not my cup of tea. Black Mammoth 'headlined' the show, delivering a wall of sound. If you are into sludge / hardcore, check 'em out.

We said goodbye to old and new friends and left Koepi with a huge smile.

The tour was over but we had lots of fun.

The trip back to the house and then to the airport and then to Athens downtown was pretty exhausting. Almost all of us couldn't manage to keep their eyes open for more than a couple of minutes. You know the deal.

I crashed in my bed for a bunch of hours and here I am now writing this report and bringing in my mind all the great memories.

Positive Energy Over Berlin session #2_28.10

05.35 in the morning...

Today was the day that almost every ethnical parade in every major city in Greece got cancelled; demonstrations against the government took place instead...

My Turn were in Berlin, though, taking a break from all this shit that happens in our country lately and trading the bad energy with lotsa fun...

So, we woke up around 11 and headed to Warschauer strasse for some 'punk sightseeing'.

That means we went to the Bis Auf's Messer record store (where we bought some quality hardcore records; you should visit this store when you are in Berlin), got coffee and cupcakes in Cupcake Berlin, ate delicious vegan food at Yo Yo's and visited a couple of skateshops / stores.

After a short break to get some rest in Manolis' house, we headed all together to Scharni 38, a huge yet nice building located in the Friedrichshain area. Scharni 38 is the absolute punk squat incl. a basement where the shows take place, a bar, a kitschen, a lot of couches and of course a mini football table (I have to admit that Markos & Drossos beat Manolis & me countless times this evening...).

Since it was early enough we decided to go for a walk in the nearby area. Harris (old friend from Thessaloniki and now Berlin resident, singer / guitarist of Black Mammoth Xtc) was outside; it was great to see him!

When we returned we met Alkisti (she travelled all the way from Saarbrucken) and her friend Nick. What a surprise! I mean, I knew that Alkisti was going to attend our gigs but since we hadn't talked for a couple of months, I doubted if she would finally come...

We got a new surprise after a while when Mitsos from Athens (btw check his great blog: www.boohahart.blogspot.com) entered the room along with his friend Alex. He was in Berlin for a week or so and managed to attend our show. More greeks gathered after a while and that made us less anxious I guess, hehe! I even met a friend that I haven't seen for 8 yrs...

The venue was a small basement almost packed with 60-70 people by the time the show started. Nice atmosphere, for sure!

We got on stage around midnight and played our 30-35' set. We had lots of fun with people moshing / dancing to our songs. We even played an encore (Gorilla Biscuits' 'Start today').

We wanna thank first and foremost Veit & the rest of Scharni crew and send our gratitude to everyone that showed up, plus the 3 bands we shared the stage with.

It seems that all 4 bands (incl. us) plus Sick Eater will play at Kopi tomorrow night since both Deer In The Headlights (amazing female - fronted dark yet emotional hardcore band from Bosnia, btw) and Dispro (decent screamo / hardcore from Croatia) have 3 shows in a row cancelled, so getting a 2nd show in Berlin is more than welcome for them, I can assume.

After spending an hour in metro stations and U-line trains, we reached the house, took a shower and got ready to sleep. Actually everyone is sleeping right now and I'm the only one awake writing this report... I'm gonna get a 5hr sleep because Markos wants me to get him in Coretex record store tomorrow, while Fotis & Eliza will do some vegan shopping and Drossos will visit the city centre.

Positive Energy Over Berlin session #1_27.10

Woke up kinda early (that means 11...); 3/4 of My Turn and Eliza met at our house in order to squeeze everything into the limited amount of luggages we were allowed to get.

Took the metro and met Fotis at the airport. Check in was next, got snacks and went on board.

The flight was ok. Markos is afraid of airplanes but I think he overcame it, Drossos slept during all the flight, while I took a nap for a while. The couple read books and Metal Hammer to kill time.

We arrived in Berlin at 18.00 and after a bit of misunderstanding (sic) we met Manolis in Neukolln and headed to his house.

Fotis & I decided to go to the Impericon Never Say Die! show to watch Deez Nuts and a bunch of other fashioncore bands incl. Suicide Silence & Emmure. When we reached the club, we figured out that the show had been moved to a bigger venue, half an hour walking distance from there... On our way to the new venue we enjoyed the landscape and even saw a big fox in a park! Unfortunately, Deez Nuts were finishing their set when we found the club, so we decided that paying 25 euros to see 2 lame metalcore bands wasn't the smartest decision.

So, we preferred to met the rest of the crew in Kreuzberg area, where they were enjoying some burgers (meat & non-meat ones) at Burgermeister. We got tofu burgers, spicy falafel and fritz colas. Superb! Konrad Toenz pub was next; totally 60s atmosphere with a DJ spinning 7"s; we had our cocktails (incl. some amazing alcohol frei ones), we danced, we had fun.
A short stop to another bar called Filmkunst followed and we hurried up to take the bus back home.

It's 3.15 in the morning and we crash at Manolis' house. Almost everybody is sleeping. The alarm is set at 9.45; we have to visit a lot of cool places tomorrow before we go to Scharni 38 haus projekt, with cool record stores, vegan restaurants and cafeterias being among them.
We are gonna share the stage with some awesome bands tomorrow; Deer In The Headlights from Bosnia - Herzegovina, Dispro from Croatia and the locals called Black Mammoth Xtc feat. our friend Harris from Thessaloniki, who lives in Berlin now. If you are around come and say hi.

Both shows were great.

Tons of thanks to every single one of you that showed up.

Cops ruined our show in Athens, though.

After we finished our set and went upstairs to breathe some air and hang around with friends,

we show a lot of cops passing by AN Club & heading to Exarheia square, where some riots were taking place... People screamed at them 'go away'. They answered with tear gas...

They threw tear gas in the entrance of a club packed with almost 200 people.

What followed? No comments.

Unfortunately, Censored Sound cancelled their appearance due to all this fucked up situation...

The show in Thessaloniki was quieter at least, hehe.

Special thanx to Nikos / Take The Chance and Danai for taking good care of us.

It's time for an update, don't you think so?!

As you can figure out, we changed a bit the design of this blog. Actually, we just changed the default picture and that's all... Talking about that picture; it was taken by Natalia, while the artwork was made by Ultra Grim Disign, both are friends of us and we thank them very much for their contribution to MT art. This design is already in the pressing plant since we are preparing 250 50x70cm poster to give away for free to you during our upcoming shows!

Merch-wise, our new t-shirt is almost ready and will be available by the end of the week.

At the end of the month we have a 3-day trip to Berlin, Germany, playing 2 shows in the city; 28th - Scharni 38 Hausprojekt w/ Deer In The Headlights from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dispro from Croatia and Berlin locals (feat. our greek friend, Harris) Black Mammoth Xtc. 29th - Koma F / Koepi Squat w/ Black Mammoth Xtc. and Sick Eater (Berliners, as well). Does it make any sense to write down how fucking excited we are about this trip? I don't think so!

Corfu was cool.

We send a big thank you to the ones that deserve it and they definitely know who they are.

So, vacation period is almost over for all 4 of us; we still have some leftovers to enjoy, though.

After all, our shows and our roadtrips are vacation time, as well.

We undoubtedly enjoy what we are doing with My Turn, these times cannot be easily traded...

We have 2 more shows till the end of the summer.

Volos - 25th August, along with our friends Despite Everything and Faithreat, plus the super duper punk rock group from Slovenia called In-Sane.

Oropos - 27th August, we participate in the Fist Festival along with our beloved Bandage and a bunch of cool punk bands.

So, Tuesday was a special day for My Turn...

To start with, we got booked for an awesome show in Sofia, BG.

We are playing with Trial, Anchor and Run With The Hunted on 26th Sept.

We dare to say that a dream comes true...

Moreover, we almost finished our 9th new song. Well, this song is called 'We kissed goodnight' and we dare (once again) to say that it's one of our most mature songs ever. Pretty excited... Can't wait to perform our new stuff live. Fortunately, our upcoming gigs list includes a bunch of cool shows. More shows to be announced / confirmed really soon. We are here to stay and you know it.

In other news... We are getting prepared for the Corfu show. We have a long trip ahead but you know how much we love roadtrips! Also, a couple of friends will come with us and some more are already in Corfu, so we won't be in this alone.

Groove Your Neighborhood fest will take place in New Fortress; the doors will open around 18.00 and the show will start one hour later (I think...). We are 3rd on the bill.

We got our new merch a couple of hours ago!

The new t-shirt includes an awesome drawing by our mate Bill (Jerboa Illustrations; jerboaillustrations.carbonmade.com) feat. a sloth drinking oranje juice and destroyin' a city. It seems that 'Orange juice and punk rock' (besides being a My Turn song) is our new motto... So, the t-shirt is limited to 30pcs. We are trying to defeat broiling weather by rehearsing and taking care of My Turn business (sic).

So, we are psyched to announce that we have almost finished composing 2 new songs, that will be featured in our upcoming full length, which is gonna be released sometime in the end of 2011 / early 2012.

New song no.1 is called 'If'... If you know the road, take me with you, leave the lights on and I will follow you... If you have the key, open this door, let me in, let me crash on your floor... while song no.2 is called 'Do You Care?'... Blood equals your welfare, do you care? Life becomes despair, do you care? Cruelty everywhere, do you care? I don't think that it's fair but do you care?...

Moreover, we booked 2 more shows... We are playing with In-Sane from Slovenia, plus all time friends Despite Everything and Faithreat, in Riot Squat / Volos, on 25th August. We have also joined the first DIY festival that is taking place in Oropos, called Fist Festival, on 27th August.

Merchwise... We have sold out all 60 copies of the octopus design t-shirt, so it's time for a bunch of more. This time the design may feature a sloth...! Besides that, we will have 30 tote bags with the octopus design anytime soon.

Nauplio is like an island.

We had a great time there.

Πάντα αντιλαμβανόμουν και αφομοίωνα το hardcore σαν έκφραση μίσους ή απογοήτευσης και η δύναμή του, όπως και η αίσθηση ελευθερίας που τη συνοδεύει, ήταν απόρροιες αυτών των συναισθημάτων. Καταλαβαίνετε λοιπόν τη σαστιμάρα μου όταν βρέθηκα αντιμέτωπος με το αγνό posi-core των My Turn. Μάλιστα, posi-core! Όσο κι αν εκτιμώ μουσικά τις δισκάρες των Gorilla Biscuits και των Champion, ποτέ δε μπόρεσα να ταυτιστώ με το μήνυμα "όχι βία, όλοι καλοί είμαστε, καινούριο ξεκίνημα" κλπ. Προς θεού, δεν κράζω, χίλιες φορές να "νιώθει" ένα πιτσιρίκι με τέτοιους στίχους παρά με τις αρχιδιές των κάθε Manowar, ίσως με τέτοια ερεθίσματα να βγαίνουν και καλύτεροι άνθρωποι, απλά σε μένα αυτή η φάση ποτέ δεν έκανε κλικ. Οι στίχοι λοιπόν είναι το βασικό χαρακτηριστικό των My Turn, τίμιες, απλές φράσεις που στοχεύουν στην καρδιά, ενώ πολύ σωστές βρίσκω τις επεξηγηματικές σημειώσεις που προσδίδουν ένα έντονο προσωπικό touch.

Η positive αύρα δεν εξαντλείται στους στίχους βέβαια, μα διέπει κάθε νότα της μουσικής των My Turn. Κι αυτό δεν είναι καθόλου εύκολο στην πράξη, πρέπει να είσαι πολύ ψημένος με το hardcore και αληθινός για να το πετύχεις, στεγνές αντιγραφές στο posi-core δεν υπάρχουν, αφού αυτό το διαυγές αίσθημα ανάτασης δεν μπορεί να αναπαραχθεί αν δεν βγαίνει απ' την ψυχή των δημιουργών. Παλιομοδίτες στους ρυθμούς και τις συνθετικές δομές τους, μα με πολύ όμορφες ιδέες στα riffs και ξεσηκωτικά φωνητικά, οι My Turn φτιάχνουν ανεβαστικά τραγούδια, ιδανικά για ξέφρενα live, αλλά χωρίς να στερούνται συναισθηματικού βάρους. Η μπάντα ξέρει πολύ καλά τι κάνει και το κάνει τέλεια, δίνοντας σημασία στην κάθε λεπτομέρεια, οπότε αν βρήκατε κάποτε το νόημα στο positive hardcore, θα βρείτε την υγειά σας με τούτους εδώ. Παρόλο που παραμένω ένας μίζερος μαλάκας, δηλώνω εντυπωσιασμένος από τη συγκεκριμένη κυκλοφορία και περιμένω περισσότερη μουσική από τους My Turn.

'H συναυλία ξεκίνησε με μια μικρή καθυστέρηση και στη σκηνή βρέθηκαν οι My Turn. Hταν η δεύτερη φορά που τους έβλεπα και σαφώς καλύτερη. Αν μου είχαν κεντρίσει το ενδιαφέρον με την εμφάνιση τους στη Πάτρα και με το demo τους, αυτή τη φορά με κέρδισαν απόλυτα. Χαμογελαστοί, γεμάτοι ενέργεια βγήκαν έπαιξαν τα τραγούδια τους και το διασκέδασαν μαζί με το κόσμο. Μερικά πράγματα πρέπει να παραμένουν απλά, ένα από αυτά είναι και το hardcore, οι My Turn δείχνουν να έχουν πιάσει το νόημα και μάλιστα πολύ καλά. Old School Style.'

So, we are back from Kefallonia island and we'd love to share a mini report & some memories with you...

We (3 My Turn and 2 Bandage members) met on Saturday very very early (that means 8...) in the morning, in order to catch the 11.45 boat from Kyllini to Poros. We started the trip around 8.45, so we had almost 3 hours for 300km; that means that we had to hurry up... After a lot of near death experiences and some crazy driving (reaching 180km per hour) by A., we arrived in Kyllini at 11.45 precisely. You can imagine that we were the last car & the very last passengers to enter the boat. Actually, we could say that the captain was waiting for us to buy tickets and get on board...

We arrived in Poros at around 13.00 and then after a 1,5 hour road trip we reached Lixouri and met the locals who were setting up the fest. We had a delicious (extremely 'heavy', though) lunch and got back to TEI University to soundcheck and hang out with the rest of the bands. The soundcheck started at 17.00 and ended at 22.00; that was not good for our nerves, but we overcame it with sleep, reading and teasing each other. The show started right after the last band finished soundcheck. Jolly Roger (a local hip hop band) played first, and then Another One Falls (kick-ass 90s punk rock), Middle Fingers High (skate punk), Bandage (punk rock comrades) performed their shows.

It was already 1 o'clock when we hit the stage. We had lots of fun featuring stage dive attempts, sing-alongs and circle-pits during our 4 first songs and then ...bad luck knocked our door. A girl (the one that took the amazing pictures you can enjoy below) got injured in the knee and we had to stop our set. We started again after almost 10 minutes, when something like a fight broke out... We were already kinda pissed with the really bad sound, plus our singer, A., was not in the right mood for a show due to personal reasons; consequently that led to a not that perfect appearance, but at least an OK one. Did we have fun? Of course we had. After all, we really enjoy playing live and sharing our music and emotions with you, and this can never change no matter the bad incidents that may happen in a live show...

Wish Upon A Star and Despite Everything were next and the fest ended at around 3.30.

We'd definitely like to thank everyone from the autonomous centre in the Lixouri University for inviting us to play that show, plus Olga & Ntinos (Another One Falls) for all the help. Big thanks to that guy Leuteris, who, without even knowing us, gave us the keys of his house in order to crash at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Solidarity and trust are 2 great reasons that push us to go on.

The trip back to Athens was endless. We left Lixouri at 12.30 and entered Athens at 22.00.

That was a way too huuggeee traffic jam....

Summer is here and the weather in the shithole is getting sooo hot...

We are going to share the stage with Comeback Kid and Toxica Apovlita on Thursday.

Serres was awesome.

Watching the smiles on your faces, during our set, means everything to us.

Humble thank you's to all the kids we met there, especially Chris for inviting us to play this show, Marios & Valentina for letting us sleep in their houses without even knowing us, and all the beautiful girls & boys that took care of the whole concert on behalf of the local autonomous place / squat.

Moreover, we would like to send hugs to people involved in the bands we shared the stage with; Eyeland, Wish Upon A Star, Bandage, Censored Sound and Los Pasados.

This was definitely one of our best shows till now. Actually, we played our longest set ever, 14 songs + our intro, woah!

So, we are taking a small break from shows. That means that we won't play (you'll never know, though...) a show in the next 3 weeks. We had 7 shows in less than 2 months, so I guess we need to concetrate on rehearsals and new songs right now. We are playing with Comeback Kid on 16th June in Athens, and 2 days after, on 18th June we are heading to Lixouri, Kefallonia, to participate in the 3-day fest that it's gonna take place there.

Yeap, we have been added to this show that will take place in Thessaloniki (Polytechnic University) this Friday. It's a benefit show for the political prisoners in Greece, and we are sharing the stage with 3 of Salonica's most well known bands; Bad Movies, Bad Trip and Old School Rednex. It'll be our first time in Thessaloniki; can't wait.

-Some of you already know that we played as not so special guests in the Eternal Hated / All Around Heroes / Chaos Reign show, the previous wednesday. We had fun, and so you did. Awesome, thanks.

-We can't wait for the Saturday's show in Komotini. We are sharing the stage with our dear friends Vodka Juniors and the brave new kids Bad Bid. A. used to study in Komotini (tens of years ago, when he was young) and he still has friends there so this adds more excitement to his feelings. Moreover, I dunno if the rest of us have ever been in Komotini in their whole lives (except of Drossos, our session bassist, yeap we are missing S. for once again - fucking army). It's been a long time since we last updated this blog...

To be honest, we were a bit bored to update a fucking faceless shit, but since we are all staring at a PC screen for a quite a few hours every day, I decided to write some things down, while I'm listening to Perfect Future.

So, life is hell but who cares...

Our precious anger-exposing vehicle (you may call it My Turn) is doin' well.

2 of our members are serving the army (one of them is not exactly doin' so, but nevermind), one of us is workin' hard to earn some money to survive in this fucking life (+ buy some vegan / straight edge hip hop records), while we don't know where is the 4th one; if you have seen him anywhere, drop us a line or just tell him to get back in Athens.

Btw, we had a rehearsal 10 days ago and we wrote a brand new song, simply called 'A Bitter Smile', you have to listen to this. Honestly, I think it's one of our best songs; and it's catchy as hell, haha.

We can't be patient; we wanna play live now... NOW!

But we have to wait till 9th April, when we are gonna travel to Komotini to share the stage with our friends Vodka Juniors, and Bad Bid. Get prepared for war.

Moreover, we have confirmed a show in Patras on 6th May, along with Straight Opposition and My Distance from Italy, plus our fellow band I Want You Dead. It's gonna be a blast.

There's a chance that we'll play in Volos on 26th April, but it's not sure yet...

We had an awesome weekend in Milano, Italy, so we'd love to share our experiences with you.

We arrived in Milano Malpensa airport on Friday afternoon and the super nice guy called Marco (he sings for My Own Voice, so you better check 'em out) picked us up and drove us with his super cool van downtown.

We left our stuff in the ho(s)tel and went for a walk in order to find something decent to eat. I convinced the kids that we had to visit a cool vegan / vegetarian place that I learned its existence by Marco. After 1 hour of searching that fucking place, we found out that all its tables were reserved, so we ended up in a cosy pizzeria eating huge pizzas and watching Livorno in the TV.

I had already started to feel ache all over my throat... Besides that, the weather in Milano was cold, around 0 degrees.

After having some rest in the hostel, we visited a nearby pub where a friend of Marco was celebrating his birthday. Cox 18 squat was next, where we were told that a cool dubstep / hip hop party was taking place. Dude/tte that squat was like a club located in Gkazi... 4 euros strict ticket and a stamp in the hand to enter one of the oldest squats in Milano (+25 years) that has now become a meeting place for fucking hipsters... Pff, we danced to the beats a bit, though and we decided to leave around 3.

We went to a pharmacy store where I bought some medicine for my throat and then crashed in the hostel.

I woke up in the morning the other day with a fucking hard throatache. It seemed impossible for me to even talk. I got anxious about the show and how we could manage to play our set...

So, we split in 2, F. & me went for a walk / coffee in Piazza Duomo, while S. & M. (sado & mazo?!) visited Milan's stadium, San Siro...!

I was sick so after F. ended 3 cups of espresso, we decided to return in the hostel in order to get some sleep while F. was about to read his Metal Hammer magazine, haha! Then he left me alone and went to meet the other guys.

Fuck, I spent almost half of the day in that hostel, pfff!

Marco picked us up from the hostel at around 18.30. We firstly visited a nice squat called Cantiere and then headed to TeLOS squat (located in Saronno / Varese area), where the 3 other bands (Attrito, Congegno and The Smashrooms) were waiting for us. It was awesome to meet again Gab (guitarist / vocalist of The Smashrooms), a cool friend of mine! Moreover, the TeLOS squat guys were super hospitable, preparing for us some vegan food, that we really enjoyed.

The show started at around 22.00; Congegno played first (nice band) and The Smashrooms were next. I really enjoyed their set, even though I was super anxious about whether I could sing or not, haha.

We took the stage at around midnight and ...we had a blast.

The feedback was so awesome that I overcome my throat problems. We played a decent show, I think that was our best show ever. The kids had fun, stagediving and moshing all over the tiny room!

Awesome... Honestly!

I didn't watch Attrito's set, because I had to get some rest, but I was listening to their songs and they rule.

I think that around 150 kids attended the show, and to my surprise, most of them were very young and dedicated. Punks, metalheads, hardcore kids; a very mixed and cool audience.

We arrived in the hostel around 3.30 in the morning. We had to wake up at 7.30 in order to catch our flight...

Finally, we did it.

This weekend was super awesome.

We wanna thank Marco / My Own Voice, the TeLOS squat crew (keep on the struggle!), the bands that we shared the stage with, and all the cool kids we met.

Unfortunately the show in Patras, that was about to take place tonight, got cancelled.

That's sad but shit happens, as always.

We still have 2 shows left till the end of January.

Actually we'll start preparing our show in Milano (Saronno area) that is scheduled for Saturday, 22nd January.

We'll share the stage of TeLOS squat along with The Smashrooms (Brescia), Congegno and Attrito (both from Trento). We are more than psyched about this and we can't wait to play our 2nd show abroad.

A limited edition of 20 CDrs with a special cover (Italy-related) will be available along with the 4-5 tapes we have left...

Thanks to everyone that showed up @ last Friday's show. We had a great time.

And we really enjoyed playing 2 new songs; Broken and Precious.

Even though we are approaching the Christmas holidays, My Turn members never rest.

We added 2 more shows in our upcoming gig-list.

The first will take place in Patras on Monday 10th January 2011. It's our first show for the fucking new year and we are very excited to play again in Patras, welcoming back I Want You Dead and our singer (both are leaving for a European tour in the next days).

The second show will take place in Athens on Saturday 15th January; it's 99% confirmed but till we get the 100% we won't tell you anything. It's a local show, at least.

In other news... We sold out the 2nd edition of our demo CDr, while we only have a bunch of tapes remaining... It seems that we are gonna print some more CDrs for our January shows; we are thinking of a special edition for our Italian trip. We'll see. Did we have fun at Patras? Sure we did!
I dare to say that this was our best show so far, even though the sound could be way better. No problem, we are a punk band after all, we can live with this! Thank you to George for everything, it really means a lot to us. And extra thanks to all our friends from Athens & Patras that showed up. We won't forget this.

So, let's get back to nowadays! We'll taking a bit of a break these weeks, since our bassist is studyin' hard for an important exam he is about to take in London next week, while our vocalist is almost dead after the Deathbed tour and he still needs to work for a local show tomorrow. Both vocalist & bassist will be abroad next week, so no rehearsals for a while. F. (our guitarist) is workin' on the new issue of Take Your Shot fanzine; he promised that he'll have copies in our upcoming shows, let' see. And what about our drummer? Hmm... You know, noone cares about drummers in general, but we do; we love this guy, haha. He's currently occupied with broken relationships, football teams and PC networks, as far as I know...

Did I tell you that we are gonna have our first T-shirt, as well? Yeap, be patient, we are working on it.

The show in Larissa was awesome, thanks a lot to everyone that made us feel like home.
Although we were a bit stressed because our vocalist was working at 6 o'clock the following morning, while the rest of us were dizzy by the heavy metal tunes we're listening on the way to Larissa from Athens, we all had fun and gave our best. Or I guess so...

Tomorrow we're playing at Patras, sharing the stage with the mighty Deathbed (Finland), I Want You Dead, Boktorva B.H.Q. and Muerte De La Pega. The show will take place in University of Patras and will start at 21.00 (sharp).

It'd be really awesome if you come and join us. Hangin' out with old friends and meeting new ones is the best for a hardcore band like My Turn.

So, the show in Athens was adventurous, at least.

It won't make any sense to write down what happened after Eternal Hated finished their soundcheck (that was around 19.30), but eventually the show got moved (and saved) to another club (called Glam or Rainbow or whatever) the last minute, literally.

After all, we had 20 minutes to play our set, with no soundcheck at all, our singer running to the club just before we played the first chords and people wondering what the fuck it was happening.

We started with 'Can't tell no one', hypothetically serving the purpose of a checking our sound (sic), and then we managed to play all our 6/7 songs, plus the Gorilla Biscuits cover featuring a special guest in harmonica!

All in all, it wasn't even close to what we expected for our first show in Athens. We had some fun, though.

Nevermind, fuck it.

P.S. Thanks to all the kids that showed up, supported us and bought our demo. 40 CDRs sold out in 5 days, no bad at all. We're doing a 2nd pressing of 40 more CDRs, that will be available in the next days. We still have tapes available, though.

P.S.2 The Volos show is 100% confirmed for Friday 10th December; we're sharing the stage with Against All Odds and Green Goblins. We are trying to find a show in Thessaloniki for 11th December, as well, or else we'll find another city to trash up, no worries.

Our bassist S. (an amateur photographer) took some amazing and some not so good pictures during our trip in Sofia. I write 'some', because the cigarette / extension in his hand didn't allow them to take 'many'.

Woah, Sofia was an amazing experience.

A big thanks goes to Alex LH and Martjin NTB for giving us the chance to join this awesome show, Nick Those Days for all the hospitality, Niki for being our host (& his friends, I cannot remember names, sorry...) and Nikolakis EH for letting us sleep in his house in Thessaloniki, and feeding us with vegan cake and hot tea.

Our trip started in Friday evening; after a fucking traffic jam in the national road, we managed to exit Athens at 18.00 and entered Thessaloniki at 22.30. The rest is history.

We got back in Athens late at Sunday night. More than 1600km in 2 days, not bad at all.

Demo CDR out now!

Hey fellow ones.

We got the final mix of our demo this morning (tons of thanks to Steph) and since then we worked with pleasure in order to prepare all 40 CDRs for you. So, yeap, our first demo is OUT NOW! 'Noble Intentions' CDR includes 6 songs + an intro of intense and passionate hardcore (or at least we think so...), A5 folded lyric sheet and a cute sticker. Moreover, the covers are hand-numbered and printed in colored papers (yellow, pink, azure & light green). The artwork was made by our friend and amazing illustrator Bill (Jerboa Illustrations) and it's 100% handmade. As mentioned above, the CDR is limited to 40 copies, this is the 1st press, even though I dunno if there's gonna be a 2nd one, actually it depends on you...!

Yeap, it's true.

We joined the Hate City 2010 Fest, along with No Turning Back, Last Hope, Brothers In Blood, Cut Off and Seven Ate Nine.

The fest is gonna take place in The Box, downtown Sofia city, and we are playin' at 19.30, so all of you Bulgarian friends show up for some passionate hardcore / punk music.

We're psyched about this, since it'll be our first show ever.

Thanks to Alex (ReAct Booking & Last Hope) for letting us in.

'Noble Intentions' demo tapes will be available during the show.

We just got the covers from the print-office and we are patiently waiting for the yellow tapes to arrive from the UK, while our 6 songs (+ an intro) are being mixed by a super nice guy called Stefanos.
By the way, we decided to print a limited edition of CDRs, as well. We'll make a bunch of 40, handmade & handnumbered. Our friend V. (Jerboa Illustrations) is taking care of the covers.

Our first show is gonna take place in Mad Club (Gkazi, Athens) on Wednesday 27th October. We'll share the stage along with fellow bands Against All Odds, Eternal Hated and Eden Demise.

There are 3 more shows coming up in November and December, as well. There will be a 4th show (not confirmed yet) during the Christmas period, we'll keep you updated.

Moreover, we have plans to release our first demo tape. We'll do our best to have it available at our first show, even though it's not 100% yet. The demo tape will include 6 songs and an intro, and it will be limited in 50 copies. You'll get more info sooner than soon.
